Brandi Carlile is bringing the girls back to Mexico. The singer/songwriter’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend returns Jan. 14-18 for its eighth annual edition, with Kelly Clarkson and Sierra Ferrell joining Carlile atop a lineup that spans indie rock, Americana, global pop and plenty of queer joy.

Set once again at Mexico’s Barceló Maya Resort, the all-inclusive getaway will also feature the Beaches, CMAT, Allison Russell, Brandy Clark, Lucius, Titans of Americana, Arroba Nat, Tish Melton, SistaStrings, Autumn Nicholas, the Carlile Family Band and the Marshgrass Mamas, plus comedian Kristin Key. More guests and activities are still to come.

More from Spin:

Founded by Carlile in 2018, Girls Just Wanna Weekend has become a destination for women and nonbinary artists and their fans, with past editions featuring everyone from the Chicks, Shania Twain and Sheryl Crow to Janelle Monáe, Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan and Maren Morris. Produced by 100x Hospitality, the four-day event goes beyond the main stage with artist-curated activities, workshops, off-site excursions and the now-traditional “Brandi-oke.” The resort’s Brandi Land campus is designed to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment, with a particular emphasis on the festival’s predominantly LGBTQ+ community.

A limited number of vacation packages remain available, with additional rooms recently added at Barceló Maya Palace. Details and bookings are available here.

Carlile recently took home Song of the Year at the 2026 Americana Awards for “Returning to Myself” and will be back on the road starting Nov. 5 in Portland, Or., with longtime collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth on Burn the Setlist (The All-Request Tour).
