Saturday Night Live has booked the Strokes and Phoebe Bridgers for upcoming November episodes, with comedian Druski making his hosting debut on Nov. 7 and John Mulaney returning to the show on Nov. 14.

The Strokes will make their fifth appearance as musical guests when they join Druski, who is promoting his Netflix comedy series Collect and Praise, due out December. The band is on the road in support of its latest album, Reality Awaits, its first in six years.

Former longtime SNL writer Mulaney, meanwhile, will host the show for the seventh time as he continues his nationwide Mister Whatever stand-up tour and stars in Prime Video’s Madden. On that episode, Bridgers will make her first solo appearance on the show since February 2021, following a 2023 booking with supergroup boygenius.

Bridgers’ return comes with some history. At the climax of her 2021 performance of “I Know the End,” she smashed her guitar against a stage monitor as sparks flew, prompting a wave of online commentary that included criticism from the late David Crosby.

In a subsequent CNN interview, Bridgers called the stunt “just a bucket list thing,” explaining that the show had built a monitor designed to look as though it was exploding. The performance became an unlikely flashpoint, with Bridgers responding to the criticism with characteristic irreverence. “Next time I’ll just burn it,” she joked on Instagram.

SNL‘s 52nd season has already offered a wide-ranging musical lineup, with bookings including KATSEYE, Turnstile, ROSALÍA and, for its Oct. 31 Halloween episode, Gracie Abrams. Hosts have included New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, Dakota Johnson and Shane Gillis. Inde Navarrette will take the reins next Saturday.

The show has been on a planned hiatus since Oct. 10, when Gillis caused a stir by telling a joke about how women “dress like whores” at the gym during his monologue and later said the F-word during a sketch.
