Rex Orange County is leaning into uncertainty — and bringing Daniel Caesar along for the ride. The pair have reunited for “Indecision,” a new ballad that marks their second collaboration following last year’s double single “Rearrange My World / There’s a Field (That’s Only Yours).”

Released today (Aug. 19), the track finds the two artists trading their distinctly soulful vocals over a tender meditation on second-guessing yourself and being caught between what you feel and what you know. A Montana-shot video directed by Rhys Scarabosio accompanies the release, which seems likely to be part of an as-yet-unannounced full-length album.

More from Spin:

The song arrives as Rex has been making his way back into the world through a decidedly intimate route. Over the past several weeks, he’s been staging surprise pop-up performances inside the homes of fans across the U.K. and Ireland, continuing the kind of close-quarters connection that has long been central to his appeal. That spirit recently spilled out into the streets of Manila. During a recent visit to the Philippines, Rex surprised commuters with an impromptu performance aboard a train, turning an ordinary ride into an unexpected mini-concert.

Rex’s next phase will continue to unfold in similarly unpredictable fashion, with living room shows in Southeast Asia and appearances today and Saturday at the LaLaLa Festival in Jakarta and Manila. Back in London, he’ll play an Aug. 27 underplay at Village Underground ahead of his appearance at All Points East the next day.
