Paul McCartney isn’t quite finished with The Boys of Dungeon Lane. The 84-year-old Beatles great will issue The Boys of Dungeon Lane (Special Edition) digitally Oct. 7, followed by a 2LP vinyl edition Dec. 9, expanding his 2026 solo album with four additional recordings. They include a new version of “Home to Us,” his collaboration with Beatles drummer Ringo Starr.

The song is, improbably, the musicians’ first full-fledged duet and built from a drum track McCartney asked Starr to record with producer Andrew Watt. “He sent me back a version where he just added some lines to the chorus, so I thought, maybe he doesn’t like it,” McCartney recalled. “I rang him and he said he thought I only wanted him to sing one or two lines, and I said I’d love to hear him sing the whole thing. So we took my first line [and] Ringo’s second line, and then we had a duet. We’d never done that before.”

The new version is referred to as a “flip mix,” which swaps the original parts sung by each Beatle. The three new tracks — “City Fox,” “One Night Stand” and “Chelsea Boots” — come from the same recording sessions that produced Dungeon Lane, giving fans another glimpse into McCartney’s first new solo album in more than five years.

The Special Edition arrives with new artwork adapted from a silkscreened collage by Kate Gibb, incorporating more than 100 images from McCartney’s personal collection. The physical release will include a limited-edition orange-and-blue marble 2LP pressing featuring a zoetrope etching.

Released in May, Dungeon Lane topped charts globally and debuted in the top five in more than a dozen countries, including the U.K., where it became McCartney’s 24th career No. 1 album.

McCartney has played only three full live shows in 2026 but is said to be plotting his tour plans for next year. His longtime touring and session drummer, Abe Laboriel Jr., made his debut with Pearl Jam last weekend at the Ohana festival, although its unknown whether he intends to also continue gigging live with McCartney in the future.
