CIRCLE OF ORIGIN ANNOUNCE “GALLOWS” EP

Released on June 12, “Gallows” is the brand-new five-track EP from Doncaster (South Yorkshire, UK) outfit Circle Of Origin. Continuing their ascent within the UK’s underground metal scene, the band deliver a collection that fuses alternative metal intensity with a classic rock backbone, resulting in a sound that feels both modern and timeless.

Produced once again by Matt Elliss at Axis Recording Studios UK, “Gallows” builds on the foundation laid by their acclaimed 2025 debut EP “Guilty Til Proven Innocent.” The collaboration retains the band’s signature rawness, deliberately avoiding over-polished production in favour of a gritty, authentic sonic identity. The result is a hard-hitting release that balances cathartic aggression with brooding melody.

Leading the charge, vocalist Danny Porter brings a deeply introspective and emotionally exposed lyrical approach, exploring themes of personal struggle, identity, and inner conflict. His delivery adds weight and sincerity to each track, elevating the EP beyond pure sonic impact.

Instrumentally, Circle Of Origin demonstrate tight cohesion and musical maturity. Guitarists Andy Wordsworth and Rick Williamson combine explosive riff work with melodic interplay and expressive solos, while bassist John Heaver and drummer Scott Emery lock in with commanding rhythmic precision, driving each track forward with force and control.

The EP opens with “Watching The Walls” and moves through standout moments such as “Nothing (At All)”—a track that encapsulates the band’s dynamic range—before closing with the intense and atmospheric “Unto The Fire.” Across all five tracks, “Gallows” showcases a band refining their identity while expanding their sonic reach.
